Looks pretty obvious to me but hey, what do I know? I’m not really in a position to say.
Essentially, some of the problems related to ACPI (namely suspend and hibernate among other things) on certain main boards when running linux can be traced to some rather interesting code in certain Foxconn board’s BIOS.
